Is the Examination System ‘Centralized’ or ‘Decentralized’?
Ans:
Currently, a ‘Decentralized system’ of Examination is followed.
 
 
2.
What is the provision of scrutiny of answer scripts?
Ans:
Under the current system, concerned subject teachers are required to show the answer scripts to the students before finally uploading and locking of marks on ERP, therefore the question of scrutiny does not arise.
 
 
3.
What can an examinee carry inside the Examination Hall?
Ans:
Examinees are required to carry Registration cum Admit Card, Library cum Identity Card, Stationery and calculator (if required).
 
 
4.
Am I also required to carry Steam Table, Log Book or any other similar supplement inside the Examination Halls?
Ans:
No, these supplements, if required, shall be provided to examinees in the examination hall.
 
 
5.
I was caught using unfair means. How will I know about the decision?
Ans:
a. Students will be informed of the UFM decision through their email id registered on ERP.
b. Students are required to follow the instructions of the email which they receive.
   
6.
Is Provisional Certificate, Migration and Transfer Certificate, Degree Certificate issued from the Examination Department?
Ans:
No, Final Grade Card, Provisional Certificate and Migration/TC are issued from the Student Section of the respective campus where the student has studied. It is required to submit No Dues Certificate and Identity Card for collection.
Degree in absentia is issued from Student Section, BIT Mesra.
   
7.
How will I check my End Semester results?
Ans:
End Semester results can be checked through Student ERP Login.
   
8.
When will I get my grade card and from where?
Ans:
Semester grade cards can be collected from respective department of the student 15 days after the declaration of results.
Final Grade Cards can be collected from the Student Section of the respective campus after submission of No Dues Certificate and ID Card.
   
9.
What certificates can I receive from the Examination Department and how?
Ans:
Examination Department issues Transcript, Course Completion Certificate, Rank Certificate, Backlog / No Backlog Certificate, Promotion Certificate and Duplicate Grade Cards.

What is the process for name correction in the certificates issued by BIT?
Ans:
Student is required to submit Common Application Form along with a copy of the Passing Certificates of Std X and XII to the Office of Dean (Undergraduate Studies) or Dean (Postgraduate Studies) (as appropriate) through their respective off campus.
A fee may be applicable on a case-by-case basis, which shall be communicated to the candidate by the Examination Department.

How can I check the Examination Schedule?
Ans:
Examination Schedule can be viewed from the “Examination Schedule” tab of the website and Notice Boards displayed outside the Examination Department.

How can I check the Seating Arrangement for examinations?
Ans:
Seating Arrangements can be viewed from the “Seating Plan” tab of the website and Notice Boards displayed outside the Examination Department.
Since Seating Plans are subject to change, it is advisable to check the Notice Boards displayed outside the Examination Department on the day of the examination, before proceeding to the Examination Hall.

How can I view older Question Papers for examinations?
Ans:
Older Question Papers can be viewed from the Question Paper Archive under “Important Links” section of the Examination Department webpage
   
14.
How can I receive my transcripts? Can the Institute send my transcripts directly to my employer or institute or verification agency?
Ans:
Students may apply for transcripts at the Examination Department using the link: 
There is also a provision to send transcripts directly to the concerned organization (postal fee applicable for foreign postage)

How can I get a certificate for CGPA to percentage conversion?
