The Under Graduate "B.Tech. Chemical Engineering” (previously. B.E. Chemical Engineering) 2018 batch onwards programme imparts high standard training, emphasizing on Chemical Engineering fundamentals - Heat Transfer, Mass Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, Process Control, Reaction Engineering, Computer Aided Engineering to groom them to carry out economic environment friendly Design, Technology Development and operation of wide range of Chemical Plants – Industrial chemicals, petroleum, polymers, pharmaceuticals, cement, fertilizer, Fuel, processed food etc. The core curriculum is complemented by electives in the important emerging areas like Nanotechnology, Biotechnology, Molecular Simulation, Food Science and Engineering Colloidal Science and Engineering etc.
In addition to the core chemical Engineering subjects, students of “B.Tech. Chemical Engineering - Plastics and Polymer” programme are exposed to courses in Polymer Materials Technology, Polymer Processing, Polymer Product Design and Development to serve industries involved in polymer manufacture, polymer processing and conversion industries, polymer processing machinery manufacturing industries and advanced level research in the field of polymer science and engineering.
The Department also offers facilities for “Ph.D.” programme in fields of Chemical Engineering, and allied fields like Polymer science and Engineering, Food and Biochemical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Environmental Engineering etc. .
