He obtained his B.Sc. (Hons.) in Physics degree from the University of Calcutta in 2001, M. Sc. in Physics from the Department of Physics, University of Pune (currently Savitribai Phule Pune University) in 2003 and a Ph. D. in Physics from the University of Pune under the BARC-PU Joint Collaborative Ph. D Program in Jan. 2009. He has 24 international publications in journals of high standard and repute and is the recipient of Buti Young Scientist Award (2008) conferred by the Plasma Science Society of India in recognition of his contributions in the fields of Carbon Nanotubes and Graphene. His name is enlisted in Marquis Who’s Who in the World, NJ, USA for his contribution in the fields of nanoscience and technology. He joined BIT, Mesra, Off-Campus Deoghar in April 2009 and since then serving the institute as a faculty in the Department of Physics. As an additional responsibility, he worded as Hostel Warden in Boys’ Hostel for 7 years.
