The mission of our central Library is to provide comprehensive information to fulfill the needs of the BIT community and to support the Institute’s mission to contribute to society through the pursuit of education, teaching, learning and research at premier levels of excellence.

Mission

In this preferred future, Library makes certain that its collections remain forward-looking, diverse in girth and form. Through promotion, the Library makes its users aware of the resources available to them, and through innovation, it makes access to these resources easier. To serve potential users, the Library conserves information across all formats and ensures effectual storage and deliverance scheme. The Library’s cooperation with expanding circles of associates yields unified access, broadening knowledge, and enhanced services.

Central Library:
The BIT Deoghar Central Library serves as a central facility of the Institute supports the study, teaching, research and development programmes of the Institute since 2007. The library has a collection of more than 26000 volumes which includes Text Books, Reference Books etc. The Library subscribes to about 37 current Journals. The Library also subscribes numbers of e-journals as per AICTE norms.  Library operations have been automated with the help of an integrated library software package, LIBSYS. The book database is accessible through OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue). Circulation Services are executed through Barcode System. Library has a well-equipped Xerox facility.
