Raju Poddar has received BS in Physics Hons, MS in Biophysics, MTech in Biotechnology. He has a doctoral degree in technology received from Birla Institute of Technology, India. He has completed his scientific trainings from NTU, Singapore (Research Associate), Tsukuba University, Japan (post-doctoral position) and VSRI University of California, Davis, USA (visiting assistant professor and post-doctoral position). He is currently an associate professor at the Dept. of Bio-Engineering, Birla Institute of Technology, Ranchi, India. He has published more than 85 peer-reviewed papers. He has completed more than 2.5 crore sponsored projects as PI. His current research interests include Nano biotechnology, optical coherence tomography, computational biology, nanotheranostics, medical imaging, and optoelectronic systems.
