The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering mentors technical club as:

Electronika Club

MENTOR :

Mr. Snehanshu Shekhar (Assistant Professor, ECE)

Mr. Gaurav Jain (Assistant Professor, ECE)

          Student Coordinator:

          Harshit Mishra (ECE, IIIrd Yr.)

          Vaidushi Sharma (ECE, IIIrd Yr.)

About the Club:

The mission of the Electronika club is to build a complete persona in technology by sharing knowledge, providing opportunities to implement hypothesis in quotidian tasks and make society a better place to live in. The club extends to all aspects of applied electronics; however it comprises following main streams:

  • Robotics, Microprocessors, Microcontrollers and applied Instrumentation
  • Signal processing
  • Micro-electronics and embedded systems

Robotics, Microprocessors, Microcontrollers and applied Instrumentation have dominated most of the nooks and corners of industry, overpowering every aspect like automation, sensor-based AI network, telemetry, Data acquisition and its use. Today computation and automation is not possible without endorsing microprocessors, microcontrollers and applied instrumentation. Data acquisition and interpretation for versatile utility is a multi-disciplinary subject that encompasses the use of electronics, mathematics and computer science to study and evaluate data. Robotics is an important diversity that has abet in improving living standards accounting from domestic help to industrial application implementing AI. Understanding the concepts of advanced robotics in robots like Sophia, Atlas, Ameca, Nadine, Asimo and others and develop future ready robots for the society is another key objective of the sub-club. The key objective of this sub-club is to extract valuable information for use in strategic decision making, product development, trend analysis, and being prescient. The concepts and processes are mostly derived from microelectronic based engineering, programming, social engineering, data acquisition system including SCADA, machine learning, and natural language processing.

Signal Processing is an essence of engineering, ranging from Image processing to be used for NASA or ISRO to signal conditioning required for any task related to analog or digital data processing. No data processing can be done without implementing signal processing. Signal processing is an area, finding application in the field of communication systems , systems  engineering, electrical engineering, and applied mathematics that deals with operations or analysis of analog as well as digitized signals. Signals of interest can include sound, electromagnetic radiation, images, and sensor readings. The objective of the sub-club is to develop hands on skills for signal processing to aid any operation required on data.

Micro-electronics embedded systems is essentially a seamless connected network of embedded object/device/ system, associated with the design and fabrication of electronic devices/systems or subsystems using extremely small components - Integrated Circuits (ICs). These are extremely small electronic circuits performing intended functions built on semiconducting substrate. The rapid advances in the number of transistors  per chip have led to integrated circuits with continuously increasing capability and performance. Advances in integrated circuits have allowed the development of the technologies such as the desktop pc, iphone and
microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) or Nanoelectromechanical systems (NEMS)  etc. These are fabricated using ultra large-scale integration (ULSI) technology. ULSI is the process of creating
integrated circuits by combining thousands of transistors into a single chip. The objective of the sub-club is to uncover the practical aspects of ULSI and System on Chip(SOC).

Application Areas / domain :
Automation and control, Process Industry, Smart Healthcare system, Smart Agriculture, Transportation, Environment Monitoring, Industrial IoT, Energy Distribution and Metering, Smart Vehicles and other applications, Cloud based integrated sharing of resources, AI based robotic control, VLSI industry including chip designing and testing.

The association with this club will augment interest of students in practical technological domain and galvanize their creativity to innovate through practical learning and application-oriented mindset.

The club aims to prepare students for industry and make them self-sustainable as per futuristic industrial and social engineering requirement.

GENERAL ACTIVITIES TO BE CONSIDERED UNDER THE CLUB

The activities of the club have been well formulated to develop interest and competence of the students in the related technologies with emphasis on application aspects of the concepts.

  • Learning through technical magazines and journal
  • Analytical learning and industrial application activities considering the process of designing, modelling, simulation, circuit fabrication and evaluation
  • Development of projects
