The Department of Computer Science started with the BCA Programme, at Lalpur Extension Centre in 1999. It is driven by the objective of providing students the necessary skills to make successful IT professionals and also preparing them for higher studies in the pursuit of MCA, MIT, MS in Computers etc.

The Department has advanced and well-equipped Computer Laboratories broadband connectivity and latest software. The extension centre's library has an exhaustive collection of books, Journals and magazines on related disciplines.


Programmes

The Department offers the Bachelor of Computer Application at the undergraduate level and a Masters of Computer Application  at the postgraduate level. 


Course Structure

The necessary foundation courses required for an accomplished career in Information Technology is offered at the BCA & MCA . These include:

• Programming languages and Data structures
• Various application software
• Knowledge of the tools used in the IT industry
• Theory papers like Digital Logic, Computer Architecture and Operating Systems for understanding the inner- workings of the computer system.
