Eligibility Criteria & Basic Information
 
The Registrar shall be a whole-time salaried officer of the institution deemed to be university, directly responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the proper discharge of his function and shall work under his direction. The Registrar is generally responsible for all the non-academic functions of the deemed to be university.


Qualifications: The candidate must be a master’s degree holder with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed in any discipline from a recognized University/Institute.

Working Experience: At least 15 years of experience as an Assistant Professor in the Academic Level (AL-11) and above or with eight years of service in the Academic Level (AL-12) and above including as Associate Professor with 3 years’ experience in academic administration at University Level.

OR


Comparable experience in research establishment and/or other institutions of higher education.
 

OR


15 years of administrative experience of which at least 8 years as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post.

Selection Process: Shortlisted candidates will be called for personal interview.

Service Tenure: The tenure of the Registrar is for 05 years (on contract) with initial 02 years under probation and a provision for further extension beyond 05 years as per BIT and UGC Rules.

Emolument: 7th CPC-Pay Matrix Level: 14 (As per UGC Pay-scale), plus allowances for Registrar as per Institute Rules.
